How to reserve videos & models in the Media Library:

1. To SEARCH for a full description of Media Library materials, use the
Curriculum Professional Library online catalog

2. To REQUEST - Once you have identified an item you would like, make a note of the title or call number, then OPEN the MediaCo software program, search for a video, and request a viewing date from the calendar. You will receive the item on the Monday of the viewing date week you requested. (Or the first in-school day of the week.)

MediaCo (Media Checkout) software program procedures

MediaCo is available in the Start menu/Programs/Library Resources/Media Resources folder on all staff computers.

Register
If you are using
MediaCo for the first time, you will need to register. Registering is a quick, one-time process. Simply click the "register" button, enter your choice of login name and password, your first and last name, email, choose your school location and select ‘Submit’. Once you're registered, you'll just need your login and password each time you'd like to request Media Library materials.

Reserve
On
MediaCo's Checkout screen, enter the call number (or title) for the item you'd like to request.  Click on the “SEARCH” button. Then select the desired viewing date and click on "Check Availability."  If you get a green "Yes" tab, click on it to reserve your item.  If you get a red "no" tab, try another viewing date. Contact your building librarian if you need additional assistance.

Return
Media Library items circulate on a weekly basis (drop-off on Mondays, pick-up on Fridays).  If you need to keep an item longer than one week, please use MediaCo to reserve the item by noon Friday for the following week also.  As long as no one else has previously reserved it, you may keep it for an additional week.  Otherwise, all items should be returned to your school's mail area in time for Friday's pick-up.
